Lovely Stuff!
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I bought these, but the fact that they brought two things I love - snus (OK, OK, nicotine pouches), and chillies together meant I couldn't resist.
Now, I don't know about for other people, but I like my NPs to really bite. There's something about one that stings that makes me keep coming back time and time again (probably why I like my food to hurt / burn like the fires of hell as well), it's why I keep returning to the first NPs I ever tried (White Fox original blue), and find a lot of the more gum-friendly ones boring.
That's all sort of important to know about, because it explains that my mouth is quite, quite tempered towards capsaicin, so these might be completely different to those who aren't chilli heads and think that Heinz ketchup is spicy.
I didn't find these to be anything like as hot as I would expect something that contains actual Carolina Reaper chillis to be - you don't get any of the familiar burn on the tongue, even when swallowing any run off from them. Having said that, they have quite the kick when in place on your gum. Less of a heat, more of a bite that is absolutely wonderful for anyone who likes that sort of sensation from their NPs. Some are a little spicier than others, probably just a quirk of production. I'd say that they're probably not much hotter than a jalapeno at hottest.
These are just the ticket to give yourself a kick up the backside first thing in the morning (something I appreciate so much more now medication dictates that I can't start the day with a coffee), and very much get the blood pumping.
The pouches themselves are low profile and slim, making them very comfortable - I have narrow gums, and find the fatter or larger pouches tend to slide down into the oral danger zone where they get too moist from saliva and keep dropping between my teeth, which is just annoying, risks popping a pouch, and gets in the way of talking. These sit perfectly, so I can happily have one in whilst taking meetings at work without having to keep tapping it back up to where it should be.
Flavour wise, this is where they fall a bit flat - the mint is basically undetectable. Instead, it's mutated into an almost honeydew melon flavour. It's not awful, even though I am not a fan of honeydew melon (who is???), just a let down as having the chilli in there, a nice hit of sharp mint would be just the ticket. Not that these cause enough drip down for the flavour to be that important - these don't cause you to salivate much at all, just sit happily just above your teeth, biting away.
They have artificial sweeteners, which I normally try to avoid (and did cause me to buy fewer than I would have out of caution that they were going to be awful), especially since many nicotine pouches that are sweetened go heavy on them and end up cloying (Kurwa, for example, have fab flavour ideas that are utterly ruined by how heavily sweetened they are, they actually make me gag). But these do manage to balance the sweeteners nicely so you don't notice them very much, even if you prod the pouches with your tongue. I'm also pretty sure I remember xylitol whitens the teeth as well, whic would be a nice side effect to come from these.
So, all in all, flavour aside, I absolutely adore these, pretty much for sensation alone. I wish I had bought more, since they're "limited edition" I'm presuming they have a limited run on them, although another favourite of mine, the White Fox black is also "limited edition" and still going after quite some time (so long that they've even changed packaging), which makes me hopeful that these glorious little tykes may be around for some time yet, or at least long enough for them to be included in my next buy in, when I'm not financially hamstrung by Christmas.
