New Lost Mary Tappo Review

Lost Mary is a well known vape brand, best known for the unique bottle-flask design of the Lost Mary BM600- now they are further developing their range by expanding into other vape devices with the new Lost Mary Tappo pod kit. While a pod kit typically gives a similar experience to the disposable, does the Lost Mary Tappo level up to the other vapes in the Lost Mary collection? Check out our review of the new Lost Mary Tappo vape! Our experts focus on the most important factors you should look at when buying a vape including the features, setup, flavours, performance and price. Read on for our in-house experts’ full review!

Overview of the Lost Mary Tappo Pod Kit

Before we get into the nitty gritty and all the finer details of the review, it is important to know the basics. To use a Lost Mary Tappo pod kit, you will need two parts: the Tappo device and a set of compatible Tappo pods.
The device itself comes with a metallic and bottle-flask style design. The Tappo device itself can be recharged and is MTL compatible. Each Tappo vape kit comes with:

  • - 1x Tappo device
  • - 1x Tappo pod

However, you will need to get a USB-C charging cable in order to recharge the Tappo device - this is not included in the Lost Mary Tappo kit and you will need to buy one separately.

You can choose from 4 different Lost Mary Tappo devices, all of them have a sleek metallic finish, and each one comes with a different flavour of Tappo pre-filled pod:

  • - Dark Bronze - this Tappo vape has a metallic dark bronze colour and comes with a Blue Sour Razz flavoured pod.
  • - Blue Green - this Tappo vape has a metallic blue and green gradient colouring and comes with a Lemon Lime pod.
  • - Silver Stainless Steel - this Tappo vape has a metallic silver colour and comes with a Strawberry Ice pod.
  • - Green Pink - this Tappo vape has a metallic pink and green gradient colouring and comes with a Watermelon pod.

When the pods run out, you can change them out for new pods - you can buy replacement Tappo pods on Haypp, which have a 20mg nic salt strength and come in a range of different popular Lost Mary flavours.

Lost Mary Tappo Design and Setup

EXPERT RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Off the bat, I like the structure of the device. It is definitely the most unique pod kit design I have seen, with a design that looks like an upgraded version of the Lost Mary BM600 bottle-flask design. It comes in a range of sleek metallic options (the Silver Stainless Steel is my personal favourite though) and is comfortable to hold. The device is smaller than the size I’d expect for a vape kit device: the device is a similar size to a typical disposable vape, which is quite different for a vape pod kit device. When you open the box, you will find the new Lost Mary Tappo device in a sealed plastic packet with a simple tear seal, as well as one Tappo pod to help you get started with your kit and allow you to test one of the flavours before you buy extra pods. The device was relatively easy to set up - I had to use my own USB-C charger, but plugged it in to charge it and was up and running quickly, which was a really nice feature. One of the best things about disposable vapes is that they are straightforward to set up - while the Tappo pod kit needs charging to get started, unlike the Lost Mary disposables you are used to, it is still super straightforward to set up. All you have to do is charge the device, connect the Lost Mary Tappo pod (which connects via magnets in the device for a sturdy hold) and take the first drag - no buttons or other menu systems are on the Tappo device and it works with inhale activation, which gives the new Lost Mary Tappo bonus points.

Overall, I like how the device has a unique bottle-flask like the disposable, but you can recharge the device and keep reusing it. These devices also get plus points for being user-friendly, even though they are a pod kit, they still are straightforward to set up and get started with. The only thing stopping the new Lost Mary Tappo from getting the full 5 stars is the lack of a USB-C charger in the device kit!

Lost Mary Tappo Flavours

Tappo pods come in a selection of different flavours f, and there are currently over 20 different Lost Mary flavours to choose from. To avoid making this review too long by giving a deepdive into each of the flavours of Tappo pod, I tested the top 3 Tappo pods on Haypp (based on customer purchasing data):

- Lost Mary Tappo Pods Blue Razz Lemonade

- Lost Mary Tappo Pods Blueberry Sour Raspberry

- Lost Mary Tappo Pods Mix Berries

Lost Mary Tappo Blue Razz Lemonade Review

EXPERT RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavour Description: “The flavour of blue raspberry lemonade.”

This is definitely one of my favourite vape flavours across the board, so I was excited to try these Tappo pods. The flavour has a mixture of flavours that combine to create a flavour similar to a blue raspberry lemonade. When inhaling, you definitely get a sweet but slightly tart fruity lemonade flavour, with the sweetness coming through first followed by a sudden slight tart blue raspberry flavour. I get why this is a popular choice with Haypp customers, as it is a familiar flavour for disposable vapers as you can find a Blue Razz Lemonade disposable vape in most ranges. As a lover of the sweeter vape flavours, this flavour is definitely one I like a lot and is one to consider trying if you like lemonade or fruit flavoured vapes!”

Lost Mary Tappo Blueberry Sour Raspberry

EXPERT RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavour Description: “A blend of blueberry with tart raspberry notes on the exhale.”

This flavour of Tappo pod has a classic vape flavour combination: a sweet berry with a tart berry to balance out the sweetness. I can see why Haypp customers have been gravitating towards these pods; they have a strong and layered flavour that gives the sweet flavour of blueberry on the inhale and combines it with tart notes of raspberry on the exhale. This flavour is definitely my cup of tea as it is fruity, but well balanced and not overly sweet. Each puff gives a strong and consistent flavour (also probably due to the efficiency of the QUAQ coil too) - can recommend trying these Tappo pods if you like a tangy fruit flavoured vape.

Lost Mary Tappo Mixed Berries

EXPERT RATING: ⭐⭐⭐

Flavour Description: “A flavour mix of strawberry, blueberry and raspberry.”

Surprise, another fruity Lost Mary flavour makes the top list! While you may expect this flavour to be *very* sweet as you are combining three flavours that are often excessively sweet and can often taste very artificial, this particular combination balanced the sweet and included the tart berry notes to cut through the flavours and avoid the flavour being overly sweet. This flavour combination is actually a good vape flavour choice and has been well balanced, even if you are not usually a berry vape fan, it may be worth considering trying these if you like a sweet vape - it is definitely a solid choice of Lost Mary Tappo pod if you like a slightly sweeter pod option.

Lost Mary Tappo Overall Performance

EXPERT RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

You are probably wondering how good the battery life is, as it is the first rechargeable device from Lost Mary. From my experience, I found that the Tappo device definitely powered a full 1-1 ½ pods, and performed consistently up to the final puffs consistently (so I got around 600-800 puffs from each charge). It is definitely a device that will keep powered for a longer period of time and constantly delivers the Lost Mary vape juice flavour from the Tappo pods, even after using it back to back which gives it a solid 4 star rating.

Lost Mary Tappo Prices

EXPERT RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

When buying a Lost Mary Tappo vape kit, you need to factor in two costs: the cost for the device kit (a one time cost) and the cost for the replacement Tappo pods (while you get one pod with the device kit, you will need to buy new ones each time you run out).

For the Tappo device itself, it’ll cost you £5.99 for a single kit, which is reasonably priced for a starter kit with a pod- however, the initial starter kit does not come with a charging cable, so you will need to find your own USB-C compatible charging cable for the device. As for the Tappo pods you will need, the prices for a pack of 2 Tappo pods are around £5.00 - or around £2.50 per pod. While spending around £10.99 for the setup might seem like quite a lot to shell out, the device is a one time cost and the pods end up coming out cheaper than a disposable vape in the long run if you use your Lost Mary Tappo vape kit regularly. It is a good price for a vape kit that can be recharged and used time and time again, plus you can even get multipack deals on replacement pre-filled pods, meaning you can make sure you always have your favourite pods on hand while also getting the best prices.

Lost Mary Tappo Review: Overall Verdict

FINAL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Overall, based on all the factors we looked at throughout this Lost Mary Tappo review, I feel that the Lost Mary Tappo pod kit is a solid choice for vapers who want a solid MTL compatible option, especially if you want a disposable vape-like experience that is more cost effective but has a similar experience. The main cons are that the pods are disposable, which means it is not the most environmentally friendly as you cannot break them down to recycle them. However, overall the Lost Mary Tappo kit is a good vape pod kit option. If Lost Mary can make their pods more sustainable or recyclable (and come out with more flavours), they will get the full 5 stars from me.
